Main Play Room
The main play room at The Play Den is set up with various play opportunities, including: role play, open ended toys, construction, STEM activities, fine and gross motor activities and a reading corner
Sensory Room
The sensory room offers an opportunity for children to engage their senses,in particular their sight, hearing and touch. Multi-sensory play is a crucial aspect of child development and engaging the senses is how children make sense of the world around them. The sensory room also offers a sense of calm and is the perfect place to spend some time to help with emotional regulation.
Messy Play Room
The messy play room provides further opportunities for sensory play through our weekly, themed play trays. Our rice exploration station provides opportunities for children to explore scooping, pouring, capacity, cause and effect, forming predictions and gravity. The messy play room also has art/creative activities on offer such as painting, drawing, printing, collage, craft making, playdough and decorating objects. We incorporate natural resources into these activities to promote engagement with nature and to promote the awe and wonder of the world.
